The artist Alex Ross is an inspiration for me for his realistic depiction of comic book characters. He usually serves as a cover artist due to the time consuming painting style, although the detail in his renderings show an incredible amount of emotion and personality. His characters are not limited to one group or company as he has been known to paint even the personalities of the movies and tv shows. The ability to create a realistic fantasy from him is one of the first times I have seen it attempted and it has sparked my curiosity ever since.
Alex Ross is quite the character artist/plotter and really seems to capture the character's personalities.
ReplyDeleteDid you know he redesigned the 2002 Spiderman costumes?
Quite inspiring indeed.
I agree, the character's personalities really comes through in his drawings.
ReplyDeleteI really like the artist's work, Joker looks so realistic.
ReplyDeleteI like your style!
ReplyDeleteI just looked at Ross's website, and definitely have to admit he does some intense work. Showing emotion in animation is not always easy, but yet it draws us into the story and characters more whether it's a comic book or movie. I'm keeping my eye on this guy!
